Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils, soaked overnight
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon rosemary, or 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for extra flavor.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse the soaked lentils thoroughly and drain them well.
  3. Blend the lentils with water until smooth and lump-free.
  4. Add olive oil, salt, and baking powder to the lentil batter. Mix until well combined.
  5. For additional flavor, fold in garlic powder, rosemary, or sesame seeds.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
