- 1 cup red lentils, soaked overnight
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon rosemary, or 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for extra flavor.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Rinse the soaked lentils thoroughly and drain them well.
- Blend the lentils with water until smooth and lump-free.
- Add olive oil, salt, and baking powder to the lentil batter. Mix until well combined.
- For additional flavor, fold in garlic powder, rosemary, or sesame seeds.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
